I recently purchased a 26" LCD LG TV. However, I have noticed on occassion the picture intermittently goes black, I can still hear the sound but cant see the picture.

Anyone else experience this same problem or have any suggestions??

does this happen on 'normal' and digital tv? and on Av inputs?
if so, i'd take it straight back to where you bought it and get a refund....could be BER if the display unit or drivers are bad!

Whats BER? I have virgin tv which is hooked up to the tv via an AV output yes. Im ashamed to say but I brought it from Argos (do you reckon that has anything to do with it? lol)
BER=Beyond Economical Repair. nothing to do with Argos , at least not yet!

have you tried it on standard terrestrial tv and using a dvd player or video?
Question Author
Haven't tried on terristeral tv but dvd's are fine.
did you check the colours settings.

in the lg lcd remote there is a option in which the contrast of the tv shoould be zero so that the screen shows black but the only sound comes out.

so there is the only problem i think.
so please try to increase the contrast only and you will get the pictures in the screen.

you can do this also by the tv menu options.
