Bunching questions

Does anyone have any theories on why we often get people asking the same questions soon after each other? I can understand it with things like music from adverts, but I'm thinking here of the recent spate of questions on the first televised 147 break. Is it just coincidence that four people want to know at the same time?

Well, the 147 break thing was a question on Who Wants to be a Millionaire the night before, but since the answer was obviously given on the programme, it doesn't really explain why everyone wanted to ask the question again. However, why is the world and his mother so obsessed with the Atkins diet? Scarcely a day goes past without someone asking about it . . .

The atkins diet is just very popular at the moment. I was more curious about the man who asked how long it took for his girlfriend to become a commonlaw wife, closely followed by a girl (assuming from the name) asking what the property rights of one were.
