My 2 year old PCL-3000 scanner which worked fie with my ancient Win98 system now isn't recognised by my sparkling new Vista set up.
Does anyone know where I can download the appropriate driver from.

Thanks

It is a USB one isn't it?

I think that although you can't install the software CD that came with the scanner, if you plug it in and then go to Start -> All Programs -> Windows Fax and Scan, you'll find it actually works using Windows' built-in scanning software.

Many thanks for your reply, koster. Unfortunately I have Vista Home Premium and having read various forums I gather that Fax and Scan is only available in the Business versions of Vista. (But if you've any more ideas...)
Ah. I bought an upgrade from Windows Vista Premium to Windows Vista Ultimate for 50.60 from www.software4students.co.uk.

However, you can buy a scanner for 29.44:

Once again koster thanks for your help. I'll give the ex-demo HP serious consideration.
