Recording from vcr to dvdr

I'm trying to set up the scart leads I have to connect from vcr to dvdr. I also have a sky+ box in the equation. Each appliance has 2 scart sockets, including the tv. I need to be able to record from vcr to dvdr, without having to change connections around if possible

Ignoring terrestrial TV reception for the moment, the logical way to set that lot up would be
Dish > Sky+ > VCR > DVDR > TV
The VCR, DVDR and TV should all be set to 'AV', rather than to any numbered channel.
If you're adding in terrestrial TV, it would help to know whether you're still using only analogue equipment or whether you've got Freeview. (If so, is it via a Freeview box or does the TV have its own Freeview tuner. Also, do you need to record from Freeview or are you satisfied with only recording from Sky?).

Thank you to Chuckfickens & Buenchico. The wizard is very useful, though I can't be sure which scart socket does what on the back of the equipment.
To Buenchico:
The TV has built in Freeview, and so does the DVD recorder, so it's not an issue. I mostly want to be able to record from the Sky hard drive to DVD, and also from the VCR to DVD

10ClarionSt seems to think that all devices are alike. While I agree that many do have incredibly small labels, I've certainly come across some devices with no labelling whatsoever.
Stick with my original line up. Unless want to record analogue TV (which seems unlikely) , plug your TV aerial into the DVD recorder, and chain that (with an aerial fly lead) to the aerial socket of the TV.
Try (where there are labels) to ensure that you connect the output of a device mentioned in my line-up to the input of the next one in the chain. Get any 'definite' leads (i.e. where both ends have labels) plugged in first, and put a large sticker on any such lead to remind you that you're happy with it. Then, in the absence of labelling, it will have to be down to trial and error for the other leads.
