My dishwasher of only 8 years has stopped working. There is an electrical fault as when I put it on the trip switch goes.
Everyone says to throw it away as it is old. A call out from a repair man will cost 45.
Not good if I then need to also buy another! Comments appreciated but.......
Please don't tell me to buy rubber gloves!

you don't need rubber gloves ... at least not if you use fairy.
but you do get a whining kid wittering about bubbles

the other option would be to find a fairy to do the job

I don't know about built in redundancy ... sounds to me as if you got a good 'un
EIGHT years ... that's 27 goldfish ... 4 gerbils ,,, 5 mice ....
1 cat .... or 2/3 dogs .....
... or come to think of it 1 wife .... and that seemed like a lifetime.

do what I did ... go get another
It might be worth checking your local authority's website (County Council where I live) to see if they have something like a 'Buy With Confidence Scheme' or an 'Approved Trader' list. If so this might give you a useful lead to suppliers and/or repairers. Good luck.
Can't you just unplug it and check the wiring?
