quicktime stops audio playback!

i have quicktime plugin installed in firefox, which worked well beforehand but now when i click any audio link it plays the first 2 seconds or so then cuts off.

Tthe rest of the file does not load; no matter how long i wait I can still play only 2 secs. any ideas?
