cant download itunes latest version

I got a new ipod nano for xmas so I needed the new latest version of itunes to work it but when I tried to install it, it wouldnt do it but when I tried to install it on my laptop it installed perfect but I need to install it on my desktop PC as all my music is on that. anyone know what I can do.
