Its so annoying when I play a CD it appears to jump or stop & start, I thought it was a particular CD but its happening to all I play. Sooo, its the CD Player, can anyone tell me why this happens? and what I can do Its not an old CD player (2 years) I want to play my Xmas CDs but afraid to in case they get ruined.
Can anyone here help?

Thankyou in advance. and Merry Xmas.

don't think you'll damage them

difficult without seeing the player ...

either the discs or lens is mucky (you can ge cleaners for both)

or the player is bu@@ered
as AC says, as its doing it with lots of discs, i suggest you try cleaning the lens, you can by kits for a few quid.
lol

update ... just on the box

available from asda wilkinsons and the other usual suspects
i had this problem and a short term fix was to dismantle it and blow a hairdryer at it. it seemed to work after that for a while so i assumed it had dislodged some dust or fluff that was affecting it. the problem did come back however and i ended up sending it away to have the laser re-aligned. if its just a cheap portable cd player it would be cheaper to replace the player.
