Cannot get BBC radio or commercial stations after downloading iTunes

I bought myself an ION USB deck for copying my albums and records to CD and it came with Audacity (which incorporates iTunes) and I can no longer use BBC radio or any commercial radio station. I also do online surveys and when they ask if I can hear the test sound (which always worked before) I cannot, any ideas would be welcome.
