i got apanasonic recorder
prob
i can get fotage from my cam to tv screen
put av1 on video
pressrecord button
starts recording
does not record footage on screen
it records channel one instead
any ideas

My only thought is that when you are watching the footage the tv is on av1 which is the scart you have connected the dvd to the tv with.
The reason your recording bbc1 must be that you have not set the dvd to record from the correct location, check what the display says on the dvd it should say either av3 or possibly dv, depending on how you have connected your camera to it.
