How do I extend the axis on a graph in excel?

right click on the axis and select format axis

then click on the scale tab and you can enter the values you want (if you untick automatic)

I'm assuming you mean the Y (vertical) axis? Right click on it and click 'format axis'. You should be able to adjust the scale from there. Bear in mind, though, that your major units and maximum value must both be multiples of your minor unit.

If you want to change the X (horizontal), then you'd need to add the class data in the associated spreadsheet.
