Only if it is a Region 0 dvd, or the dvd player is region free.

New Zealand is Region 4; UK is Region 2.

Most dvd players can be hacked to make them region free

I'm sending a DVD to some NZ children for Christmas and so I will have to hope that they will be able to watch it !

Thanks for your help

Didn't you doc? I've hacked all my dvd players.

Ridgeway - if it is a commercial dvd then it will probably be region 2 and won't play on a region 4 dvd player.

You could buy your dvd from an Australian or NZ site and get it sent directly to the recipient. Amazon.au for example.

Ethel How do you make your DVD player region free then ?
I searched google for a hack for my dvd players by make and model, and put the buttons on the remote control in the correct sequences.

Doc - I have 3 dvd players at present; I've probably had 7 altogether
A good place to start your hunt for a multi region hack is here
