Has anyone got any experience of an Internet Radio? I was thinking of getting one for a present. Is it a good alternative to DAB?

I did a fair bit of research into these QM.................went for top of the range Roberts for around 150.
It's stereo with a great sound.........most of the others are mono.......... with so many stations available, you need presets......................the Roberts only has 5..........could do with more.
If you're a geek, then the sound isn't quite as good as DAB, but it's fine for me. Leave your router on all the time and the radio is available instantly.
Anything in particular you need to know?
I'm still trying to fathom out the advantages of DAB (apart from sound which should be crystal clear anyhow fropm a good quality analogue radio and a decent transmission signal), from my point of view i lost the local stations and gained lots of extra rock and sports stations which I can certainly so without, the only advantages are that BBC world service is available and the birdsong channel

I saw an Internet radio on amazon for just under 50 and thought it might do for the bedroom replacing an out of date radio/alarm/telephone so mono might be ok for this. I would have the choice if wifi didn't work out well to wire it. Alarm functions would be important as well as being able to listen to stations from the internet.
Yep QM.............. Amazon have a good selection..................just set your budget and check out the features.......................I don't think you'll be disappointed :o)
can't say I see the point
tttthhhe iiiint erne t is notorious for handling sound and vide o baddddddly.

you can't beat a MW radio under the bedclothes .

I suppose if you want to listen to the world they are good
but you can't take it to work ...
my 7" freeview telly has a reasonable selections of stations - which are crystal clear .... and if there is nothing on .... I can watch the telly, listen to MP3s or even plug a film in .....
