A few weeks ago I saw The Graco Sweetpeace in Mothercare and it looked quite good, it's like a pod you put baby in and it rocks at variable speeds, you can also attach your iPod to it and play music to baby.

Does anyone have one or know anyone with one. How do you find it, any good? The film on their website looks very good, but as they are trying to sell the product, they will be biased.

blimey it looks pricey and not that large to be honest.

i have got the M&P starlite swing, which swings baby at different speeds and can be set to different times. It has a removal hood with lights in (i havnt used much as baby prefers watching whats going on around her) and plays music and little stories.

It also comes with all the cables for plugging in my ipod if i want to play her music. She is 7 months old and still fits in it even though she is very very long.

Depends what type of mum & what type of child you want. I believe that any rocking/swinging devices lead to the child needing this to go to sleep/settle in the future...when a baby should be content enough to nod off with no movement or music....I may sound harsh...but I didnt get any for my 1st...she is not needy and settled very well. We have cuddles for love & not to rock to sleep. You dont need to spend a lot on them..gadget wise. Buy yourself a beauty treatment instead.
Sorry meant to add.....I know they are not (just) for making child sleep...But a dangly thing over them will keep them just as occupied ...things to feel that make sounds are cheap enough to get and just as good.
