Ok, this is a real blonde question, but I have no idea how you get the music onto an i-pod nano. Is there a wire to connect it to your stereo and you just copy the CDs over or is it more tricky than that.....? Answers in clear non-techy girl-friendly terms please..!

You need a program called iTunes on your pc

http://www.itunesx.com/

Rip your cds (copy) to the iTunes library. You can do this well in advance of owning an iPod and can listen to your music via iTunes on your pc.

To transfer to iPod, connect using the cable provided and 'synch'. It is all very easy.

Thanks- that site seems to want you to pay 20 - is that right? How do you get CDs that you don't own downloaded and what does a CD cost please?
iTunes should be free to download. You can buy albums or singles to rip onto the computer, or you can buy them from the iTunes store. I think the tracks are 79p the last time i looked. Albums vary though but are usually cheaper than buying the disk from a shop
