I am unable to save any work when using Microsoft Word 2003. I get this error message, "Word cannot complete the save due to a file permission error." How can I fix this?

change the location your saving it.

select file and save as and then try saving it on your desktop

It won't allow me to "SAVE AS" either.

Excuse me a minute Jess - is the ptroblem similar to when emails can't be sent, chuck? My brother got an error message up when he tried to send one. the only way he knew how to rectify the problem, was to restore his computer to an earlier time.
