HDD gets smaller after i use the toshiba recovery CD

Hi,
recently i reinstalled XP home on my laptop it had a 140GB hard drive but after using the recovery softeare it shrunk to 30 Gb does anyone know whats happened and how i can fix it

look in my computer - have you now got a C drive that's 30 Gb and a new D drive that's about 100Gb?

if you want a util that will show what size folders are - look at

but not in vista
Did you format drive C before reinstalling Windows?
I had a similar problem when I reinstalled Vista on my machine, didnt format the drive, lost all memory space and had to do the job all over again to recover it.
