Urgent help needed with Sage please

I wonder if someone out there can solve the problem I am having with my year end on Sage. I use a multi company version of Sage, one of which is on a 'S' drive as I share it (to a limited degree) with 2 other computers. On the other companies on this Sage I have run year ends with no problem and got the year end report which shows the Ledger year end balances that have been made. No problem. However when I come to run the year end on the Sage that is on the 'S' drive it goes through the usual routine and says that it has carried out the year end but 'no year end postings were made' it tells me. The program then sets itself up to show the new years date. So to all intents and purposes the year end is complete. I am concerned it shows no year end balances or transfers. We do not have Sage support as it costs so much and I am an experienced Sage user so have not had any reason to call them in the 10+ years I have been using it. Anybody got any ideas or suggestions please.
