Google Earth problems with new AppleMac

Hi,
After purchasing a new Apple Mac to replace my old one, I no longer seem able to use Google Earth because it always crashes at just the point when it finishes downloading my "favourite places".

Can anyone suggest what the problem might be and is there any point in reporting the problem to Google Earth? Should I simply scrap the old version and download the latest one or is there some way I can get this to work without losing all of my old settings? Thanks for any help.

Make sure you're running the latest Mac version of Google Earth from here:

http://earth.google.com/download-earth.html

Go into your applications folder, remove the old google earth, and drag the new one in from the download.

The settings are stored elsewhere, so your old stuff should still be there.

Regardless, if your drag the old Google Earth file (in /Applications) to the trash can, if it doesn't work out, you can just put it back where you found it.
