How would you go about laminating a barcoded label onto skis, snowboards, ski boots, ect?

With a printed barcode label underneath it, wouldn't bother laminating the label before sticking it to the stuff though
the tape is also called Helicopter tape if you want to get it from elsewhere, several places do it mainly automotive or aircraft part suppliers (but it can be really expensive)
