I have the above toolbar downloaed on my laptop but when I ran a scan it said that there's 27 items that need my attention but my question is do I delete them or allow them?

If I delete them, will it affect anything like online banking as I don't recognise anything!

Any help appreciated as I'm not sure what to do!!

Thank you!!

East answer, get rid of the toolbar and go for AVG free, It might be free but it's one of - if not - the best.
post - there are so many things wrong with that answer

if you don't like what you see - or the results it gives - the answer isn't to remove the prog

as for AVG one of the best - absolutely it is one of the best FREE PROGS (worth every penny)
but ask yourself why it's free!

the toolbar is perfectly OK if used as part of a bigger "toolkit"
google these

spybot search and destroy
ad-aware free
use them both regularly

you also need a firewall and virus scanner
(but only one of each)

orig - you don't give much clue as to what's been found
but if you don't recognise any of the results you can either

take a chance and just do it (it's a mainstream prog - this is a very rash sweeping statement - do what it says)

or you can set to with google and find out what each result means.

Thanks for the answers!

ACtheTROLL:

I have got a firewall and virus scanner as my laptop came with the latest version of Norton!! (I know some people don't like it but I've not had any problems with it!!)

I'm not sure what I found as I wasn't sure what it was! I did try and look at the details but it didn't much info about what they were or where from!

I did have AVG, Spybot & ad-aware on my last computer which was useful but didn't think I needed it as it came with the Norton package! (I will re-install them as you can never be too careful!)

Thanks again though!

spyware is about the only area that's the more the merrier

Norton IS good - it had a dip 2006 and it's never recovered in some people's minds - it's a kneejerk (for jerks)
but it's stuck fast.
Norton is and always will be crap in my eyes. Used it for years prior to when you said and it let in a virus AVG wouldn't have and ended up screwing my computer up. Oh, and there was nothing wrong with my answer - it offered an easy solution.
Well there was - you don't need to remove the whole yahoo toolbar just because you don't want to use the anti spy function.

spa - i use norton and the yahoo anti spy and search and destroy. I use yahoo as well as the s&d because you cn never have too many anti spy functions and it's came with the toolbar so why not!
the yahoo one usually picks up very low level threats, tracking ccokies and ads and shouldn't affect anything else, but do read thru what it has picked up just in case.

As to norton i know others don't like it but I think it's relative.i replaced my Pc and norton came with it, i haven't had any problems.
With AVG however - although i once would have recommended it - it picked something up, wouldn't get rid of it and put my PC into meltdown!

Thanks again guys and chelle!!

I'll probably take another look tonight when I get back! I don't mind Norton as it's better than the one my original PC came with (5yrs ago!) which was abit naff but this newer version is pretty good!
