coloured lines on our 42inch plasma tv

please be a bit more specific - model number? when does this happens, straight away or intemittently or whatever...

TBH the prognosis does not look good, as despite their high cost these sets are pretty much disposable ;-(

Do they run vertically down the screen about half an inch apart from each other? Ours sometimes does this but we find turning it off and on again usually sorts it out.

coloured lines could mean a row of missing pixels, these can happen when its new or several years old, but im not sure if these happen on plasma screens
