Is anyone fully coversant with this machine. Basically I want to watch everything throught the HDMI on the living roon set. I also use a sender connected to a scart output for the bedroom set. However when HD is on nothing will come through the sender. Is there any way to have all outputs functioning when set to output via HDMI. I've heard the SKY + box can do it. Any advice much appreciated. Thanks.

AFAIK there isn't any way to do what you want, if you ask on http://www.cableforum.co.uk/board/104/ you'll get a definitive answer
Under the rules governing HDCP content protection of HD signals, only the HDMI can be enabled when HDCP encrypted HD signals are being displayed. The Sky HD box used to get round this by having it's own encryption on top of the HDCP and ignoring it, but you will find that all new SkyHD boxes ONLY have HDMI outputs, no component o/p anymore. Google HDCP for more detail.

This is to stop HD copies being made and yet another example of the US film studios and broadcasters imposing their will on the world!.
