Reinstallation of software

my microsoft lifecam 1.4 has stopped working on the effects bit. The cam and mike work but I cant use the fancy effects.


When I try and reinstall disc it says already installed, but I cannot find it, where might it be lurking.

Have you gone to control panel, add and remove programs and tried to uninstall it first?

It is not listed, strange as it seems
