background but no speech on dvd

I bought a cheap DVD player A Goodmans GDVD171X5
I get all the background soundtrack but no speech soundtrack , can anyone help ?

At a guess you need to go into the setup menu and configure the audio for stereo (it's probably set to 5.1)
