Hi all, I am a graphic designer/photographer and, for some unbeknown reason, I started a blog on my photography website over six months ago.

Anyway, my blog has a huge amount of hits, almost to the point where I try and include something new each day.

For yesterday's blog, I'd like to include a write-up about this website which will involve me redrawing the Answer Bank logo... trouble is, apart from the one featured in the top left hand corner of this page, I cannot find a decent enough copy of it to redraw... can anyone help?!

I know that the font used is ITC Eras (two different weights).

By the way, my blog link (to prove that it's all legitimate) is: http://www.igimages.co.uk/blog.html

Many thanks,
Ian

I have since redrawn the logo (very nice it is too) and have uploaded it on to my blog, along with a short write-up about the site :-)

Cheers,
Ian
Being a graphic designer you should know that copying logo's can get you in to copyright trouble. Have you asked permission to put this on your site, you could be sued. Are you sure you're not just asking the question to promote your blog?? I am a cynical thing.

In answer to your first question, no.

If there is a problem, the editor is more than welcome to contact me and ask request that it be removed. Having said that though, why should he have a problem, I'm stating that I like this site and that it's very useful... it's only like providing a link to here for Pete's sake.

In answer to your second question, yes. Yes, you are cynical to the point where you've made a slight fool of yourself.

Oh, with regards to copyright laws, I know that the first step would to ask for it to be removed, so I'm perfectly within my rights. The other thing is, I'm not selling it on, merely showing a great logo which points to a great site.
