Help needed for a friend whos on dial up please!

Okay a friend has dial up, using xp and the problem is here mail(outlook express) she has about 59messages coming in, and it sticks at no8 for ages and ages how or can we stop them coming in?

If youre with one of the smaller ISPs, then phone them up and get them to delete that particular mail. Ours did this previously, though I can imagine that BT or the like wouldnt.
Alternatively, do you have web browser access to your mail? If you do, you can view the file names this way and delete the problem ones manually. We use webmail for this but your ISP may provide something different.
