how do i change a jpeg image file to a png, jpg or gif image file

i'm trying to upload recent photos taken on my phone camera to myspace, but the images i have are jpegs and myspace only accept png, jpg or gif images. Can some kind person tell me how to change my photos from jpegs to any of these formats so that i can upload them to myspace?
hope someone can help, i've tried to find a way but no luck!

jpeg and jpg are the same thing.

If it will only accept the text "jpg" as a entension then just rename the file from "jpeg" to "jpg"

thanks a lot vehelpful guy, i'll do that, computer stuff is a steep learning curve for me......!

Just to make it clear though, you can't change t to a gif or png by simply renaming it...

use a program thats supports the file types you are wanting such as paint shop or nero open the file then save as using the format you require.
