deleting a programme

I went into the control panel and into add or remove programmes. When I clicked on the programme I wanted to delete I got *The LaunchAnywhere properties file is missing* which stopped me from removing this programme. What can I do to remove this programme?

reinstall (default options) and try uninstalling again
