Forgotten Password

I cannot log onto my laptop as i have forgotten my password, ( i know ,what an idiot). I am the administrator too and dont have any other users on pc and running XP home edition. Can anyone help???

I bet you haven't forgotten it really.

Have you got the caps lock or number lock on by mistake?

Thanks but both caps and number locks are off! I did change it on thursday last week and just had a complete memory blank!! Must be my age!!

its very time consuming more or less a re-install or xp repair but you could loose everything on your comp

I use a program called ERD Commander 2002 at work for this has a feature in the program called locksmith which lets you change Admin passwords.
