how do you get rid of really thick gloss on radiators, i eman really thick???? i have tried sanding it but dnt seem to be having much luck? any ideas??/

to do the job to any reasonable sort of level will involve a few hours of work and i assume its an older rad so if you cost out your time you will find little difference in the cost of a replacement rad which will look better and should be more efficient
a possible drawback is replacing like for like but there is a slight difference in the pipework positions and that could be awkward
Go to B&Q and get Nitro Mors, its in a green tin and can be found by the white spirit etc, it removes 15 layers at a time, very good but a bit messy!

thanx ppl! funny enough i did go to b and q 2day and get that nitros stuff without even reading that answer! will giv it a go anyway! thnx! x
Dont get nitromors on your skin and use it in a well ventilated area.
I had this problem and purchased a hot air gun, did a good job, cost about �15.
