Which cable do I need in order to see the videos that I play on my laptop on my television. I have a cable for the audio, but not sure about the visual. Also which hole on my TV would I be plugging it into, or would it go via the DVD player (since that is linked to the TV). Thanks.

I assume your laptop has a tv out port, if it has it will depend what sort of tv out port it is. there are 2 common ones a yellow one which is composite or a black one which is s-video.

What TV and what laptop?

If you can use all digital connections, it'll be a lot better. If you're using an older analogue connection, then you'll see quality degradation.

Laptop -- you may have S-Video out, or VGA, or DVI, or DVI-mini, or something a bit weirder.

TV -- connect either to SCART or phonos if your TV has them, or even better, DVI or HDMI (if it's a newer, probably LCD or plasma TV).
