MSN Messenger for MAC OSX keeps failing

I have the latest version of msn messenger for use with mac OSX, but recently it's begun having problems. If I'm inactive for more than ten minutes, and then perform any action i receive a message stating that the service has become unavailable, so I've been disconnected. Can anyone help me out with this? Thanks Abi
