How do I know if my computer is wireless ready?

Start>control panel> Network connections. If your computer has a wireless modem it should be listed there.
If you are uncertain having followed the previous answer:

Start - my computer - view system information (in left hand panel) - hardware - device manager

Scroll down the list and click on 'network adapters'.

Look for wireless and click on. That will give you all the info you need.

It will also have a big aerial on the side ;-)
I've just got a new PC and I was told that most PCs sold now are not wireless ready as they are not made with wireless adaptors in them, but laptops are. I was also advised that it si better to have your PC connected by the cable to the router rather than wireless as the connection will be better. II've set up my laptops with wireless though.
