I am trying to copy a track from one of my Charlatans albums, I've tried a few different ones but same thing happens. If they are "protected" does this mean you cannot copy them at all? are all albums like this?
Don't wish to sound nasty, but.. You've bought a CD. That menas in law you've paid for the right to listen to THAT CD. You haven't actually bought or paid for the right to copy it ad infinitum to other media, or even to other CD's, without a further charge. Doing do is called copyright theft, or piracy, and increasingly the music distributors are leveraging their muscle to create better and stronger technical barriers againt piracy, so I would certainly expect that you've hit one of those barriers, since "Protected Content" pretty much speaks for itself. Get used to it, because that's the way the world is going.
