Hi all. Hope your all well. Last night and the night before while I was laying back in the bath MrMB was splashing water on my tummy and what followed was very odd: exactly where the baby was (not sure what body part) my tummy went up and down quite fast but shallow and faint (def not hiccups as I'm very used to that sensation now). MrMB is convinced that he was sucking his thumb or fingers because the movement was very rythmic. So, could it be that? Sorry, I know I'm always asking something silly.

It's not a silly question mountainboo. It could very well be thumb sucking. From 28 weeks babies are seen to suck their thumbs on ultrasound scans. Sorry, don't know how many weeks you are. How lovely!!
Hi mountainboo, you wait til baby tries doing the breast stroke with no room! Then you see some unusual movements lol

Im not really sure you would see any movements from baby doing somehting like sucking a thumb as the movements would probably be very slight. But with the water, you never know. It still may have been hiccups, just feeling different because of the water.

Wouldnt it be great if we had x-ray vision or our own personal scan machines so we could see and watch whenever we wanted?
hi MB,

ive had some odd ones too. Sometimes its almost as if my bump is shiverring as its that fast.

I had it with littleCRX though so i know its normal.

Phew! thanks ladies. Red, that makes me feel so much better. Psy, personal scan machine - your on to a winner there. I reckon every pregnant woman would want one. lol.
Lol mountainboo, it makes you wonder what they are up to in there. Last night I was in the bath and my bellybutton (now an outie) suddenly became a very deep innie again. Very strange. No idea what was happening but it did cross my mind that the baby was pulling on the placenta and pulling my tummy in, must ask her when she arrives.
LOL
I think mine practises martial arts, and despite there only being one in there I am sure I am able to feel it moving in four corners all at the same time so it must be doing star jumps or something. They're funny little things. Today it has been playing footsie with my ribs :-)
