sloooooow videos

Whenever i watch a vid from lets say youtube, or stage 6, they take AGES to load... any idea what the problem is? could it be my security settings? - it cant be coz of my comp its just new. Could it be vista?

When you watch a video on YouTube it obviously has to download the video from the web site to your PC before you can view it.

As you watch a video you can see the red bar moving across the screen as it is downloading (along the bottom of the video).

The video starts to play before the whole video has downloaded, but if you are watching it quicker than it is downloading then it has to stop and wait before more of the video downloads.

So if the video is stopping all the time I would say it is because your broadband download speed is not fast enough.
possibly your virus checker ... but if security settings - you wouldn't get anything!
as vhg says ... the vids are streamed so the obvious suspect is the speed of your internet connection?
.... wireless conection - wireless isn't good with big downloads!!!!!

you say Vista ... download a sidebar gadget to monitor your bandwidth connection speed

just realised, its only this case on stage 6, no other video website... Youtube is fine, myspacetv is fine, but my favourite of all stage 6 is dead... i done a speed test and i have 4meg broadband, dont know if thats good or bad lol, but im going to change some settings, tho it seams im not the only one having problems with stage 6 now according to their forms, tho there has been no helpful replys there
