I seem to have aquired a programme called "PGate Basic". I don't want it but it tries to send me to an internet removal site when I try to delete it using my "Add or Remove Programmes" option on XP I'm frightened I might download something nasty! Is there any other way I can get rid?

This site seems to have the solution; http://www.lavasoftsupport.com/index.php?showtopic=36281 You have to scroll down quite away, through the erroe logs, but it's all there.

Thanks Headtime but I still don't understand what I have to do! I can turn off 'System Restore OK but how do I "clean"?
Clive, I Googled "PGate Basic", and got that page as one of the results. Put the phrase "PGate Basic" into Google yourself, it comes up with over a 1000 pages related to it. One of them will have an answer I'm sure.
