does anyone know of any patches or updates that will make it compatable with windows xp?

Never heard of the game, but assuming that it's meant for Windows 9X, you can create a shortcut to it & then set its properties to be compatible with XP. If the above assumption's correct, let me know & I'll give more specific instructions

Bigbaldblokes method will only work if XP allows you to install the game in the first place.If it won`t go to Start/programmes/accessories where you will find `Program Compatability Wizard' which helps you to configure and run older programmes on XP.

I don't know of any patches that fix this, but it's the mouse driver that causes the problem. As the game starts and runs properly, however it crashes as soon as you click on a button in the main menu already. To solve this you have to move your mouse pointer to a far corner of your screen (I moved it to the upper right corner) so you can't or just barely see it's there (basically move it out of the screen) and play the game with the keyboard. With keyboard it can be played just as well, if not even easier than with mouse. So remember, always use keyboard-only here, as even in the game, the mouse might work in clicking on a few things, but the game will crash if you have the mouse on the screen while someone (be it a real or a computer player) plays a card for an example.

Oh and as a Post Scriptum: Don't waste your time with trying win xp compatibility options on this game as it is compatible, it just doesn't like the mouse driver somehow. (I've also tried setting up every possible compatibility configuration, but in this case they don't do anything as they don't solve the game's issue with the mouse driver. Hope that helped.
