pink motorola v3 bluetooth

ive recently bought a motorola v3 pink, and ive been trying to work out this bluetooth, i can recieve things from other peoples bluetooth devices but there doesnt seem to be an option on my phone for me to send things or even recognise other people, am i missing someting or is my mobile a one-way bluetooth?
