I am looking to buy a compact digital camera with a wide angle lens. I do not want a large telephoto zoom. I want good quality, reliable and compact. (Wide angle - equivalent to 28mm on a 35mm camera)
Please can anyone recommend one to me.
Many thanks.

I have had several cameras over the years. Currently I have various Nikon SLRs. In the past I have tried most makes of compact cameras, but one sticks in my mind as the best all rounder...Casio!! Well if you think about it Casio were the first on the digital technology market with there calculators. Anyway ya pays ya money etc. All I can say is as far as I`m aware it is only casio that have the Best Shot Facility on there cameras. That wont mean a thing until explained...Basically it is a facility that allows the user to punch in a scenario. Ie, snow, running, baby, fireworks, buildings, scenery, etc etc. The camera then works out the best speed, and f stop for the shot. Hey presto, superb results. I dont think this is available on other cameras, as I feel casio invented it , and are holding this tight to there chest. I would recommend going to a decent camera shop as to buying on line unless you already know what you want. The camera has to feel right in ones hand as well. Ps dont be impressed by massive mega pixels, its more about the technology inside, and lens it looks through, than anything else. Hope this helps rather than confuse. Regards, and happy snapping.
I have an earlier model of this and find that it's very good
