Can I view JPEG pics on a Panasonic DVD Recorder

I have a Panasonic DMR 85 DVD recorder & would like to view still digital pictures on my TV Is there any way I can do this?

I use Nero burning to put jpegs onto a normal CDr.(photos from a digital camera). These play on my Sony DVD player. Panasonic is a good make and should do the same.

In fact, if you have a Cd writer it would only take a few minutes to try one out. :o)
