Query re: MSN contacts and the "appear offline" feature

I was wondering when you put the "appear offline" feature on for MSN messenger does it still show that you connect to the computer even if only for a brief second?? Thanks

No, it doesn't. I was wondering this so I signed onto msn whilst appearing offline and my son looked on his laptop and it never said that i had signed in !
