When I use ImgBurn it gets stuck when trying to detect write speeds (or something to this effect!) and just sits there for ages. Is this because I have the Write Speed on MAX instead of 2x or 4x etc? Thanks

What o/S
how old/what brand is your burner
what version is your copy of ImgBurn

Burning progs (ie nero) update almost weekly and generally speaking this is to maintain support of all the latest models.
IB's had 5 this year so far (2 in april!!!)

get the latest version 2.3.2.0

should work on any setting (your burner supports) including max

if you've just started having the problem
have you done any config changes?
if not
... sometimes you find a "rogue" batch of discs will only burn at slower speeds . if poss try another brand
Question Author
I am on Windows XP and I only downloaded DVDFlick yesterday which has ImgBurn as part of it.

I don't think the discs I am trying to burn on are that great so maybe it is that - thanks!
