I have just purchased a new HP desktop with an Athlon 64 processor. When I right click 'My Computer' and then go to 'properties' my processor speed is often different i.e. sometimes it ranges from 797MHz to 1.99GHz. Is this correct as I have always had pentium processors before where the processing figure was always the same. Many thanks in advance.

I checked my Athlon XP 1600+ yesterday and twice today. The speed was always the same.

Somethings up with your computer. It SHOULD be the same all the time. Theres a problem somewhere, but i dont know what.
