i want to scrap my car but can not find the log book - do i need it to scrap it? also cannot find the mot certificate...is this needed in order to scrap the vehicle?

you certainly do not need a mot to scrap your motor as regards your log book I would ring dvlc at swansea and tell them that have not got a log book they may send you a replacement to fill in but either way they MUST be notified. good luck.
p.s. to that when u ring have your chassis and reg. number to hand
you will not be able to scrap it legally without the log book,it could cause you all sorts of problems,it could be used as a ringer and you could end up with a whole load of aggro,apply for a new V5 and the council will take it away for you.
