Hi
I have an ipod nano. A couple of weeks ago my laptop totally crashed so I reinstated it as new. I used the CD that came with the nano to install itunes and I put in the serial number of my ipod. Now when I plug in my ipod it doesn't recognise it at all. I have rebooted the nano but it still doesnt register with itunes. I am desperate to get it to work so i can put some songs on it as I am due to have a baby in a couple of weeks and want it for during labour. Help please!!!

Try the 5 R's, and make sure it's plugged directly into a USB port, and not a hub.

There are other ways of putting music on your ipod. Anapod explorer comes to mind on windows.

On linux - Gtkpod is another. Try a google search on 'ipod open source' or on sourceforge.net and you will be pleasantly surprised. Free yourself from itunes ;)
