sounds like aol to me Ethel.
Usually this is used when you are having connection problems to the internet.

Click it - it just repairs your connection.

If you use broadbanfd with a router and don't use AOL software it is meaningless
If you are on dial up or connect through a modem it will reset your AOL settings as already said
