I'm assuming you have all used Google earth and if not why not!!

What is the most fascinating place you have found? I have traced all my old houses old schools and holiday destinations, old haunts etc

I googled the hospital I was born in and discovered it was a haunted place now, derelict and creepy.

if you look at Bagdad on google earth there is a large circular building. Anyone know what it is?
Area 51.
On zooming in as far as it was going to let me before blocking it i discorved some of the main features including the long road that looks like a runway.
I didnt like google earth much ! i couldn't see leicester, where i live at all. I go to google and click on maps and its loads better. I can see in my garden!!!!!

If we are looking at the same place, the round thing with the pink road and the flute shape in the middle, its the tomb of the unknown soldier

Flash Earth is no where near as good and it uses exactly the same images, with hardly any of the features of google earth

Over Huntingdon there is the Lancaster bomber of the Battle of Britain display on its way home from an airshow.

I found the house that I lived until we emigrated last year. The Mondeo is even parked in the drive - awesome!
I love just "flying" in one direction and then returning to the PC to find out where I am- usually upside down somewhere over Russia. If you fly quite close to the ground you get some absolutely AMAZING pictures- beautiful coloured mountains, shapes, all undefinable. I zoom in but there are never any signs of life!
Look in the middle of the Sahara Desert. Follow any road and, surprise, surprise, you'll come across some relatively large towns that don't seem to be present on any maps - at least none of the ones we used at school.
