I think in the past I have heard dire warnings about using pop-up killers, something about other things not loading...I'm not sure. Please could anyone give me a link for a 'safe' pop up killer or is there no such thing? Thanks Trudi

Hey Trudi :o)
Trouble is with Pop Up Stoppers is that they stop ALL pop ups including when the ones that pop up when you type an answer oon this site ALTHOUGH, with some, you can press shift + the button (eg post an answer) and the pop up will come up :o)
Yeah I've got one where you have to hold CTRL while you click a link to allow the windows to appear. It hasn't given me any problems, just needs some getting used to (like, holding control on links that are likely to be popups). Check it out!

I use the one on the Google toolbar and if something is not loading as it should just one click and it says 'site popups allowed'. Then another click and popups are stopped again...and so on...
Try this one. It's free and will only close the pop ups that you want it to. I've used it for over a year and can recommend it. http://www.analogx.com/contents/download/network/p
